You want to be able to trust your gear, which means you are entrusting the person who designed and made it. Everyone wants free stls and files to simply reprint someone else design with out any questions about the design intent, the designers ability and the tools they use to reach the results they provide. In 3d pritn8g duplication with function is not always cut and dry. The injection molded parts, most people are attempting to copy and recreate.Are much stronger than any 3d printed version.   Which is why, when you’re buying three dependent parts you want to make sure that the person who designed them understand those limitations and design features into the new version to make them be even remotely as robust as the parts they are design to replace. Good intentions will not save your life, but a correctly design part to material limitations, made well through proper manufacturing techniques WILL. Its worth a few extra bucks to know your parts are being designed with intent to function at the highest level but also tested to work as such.  Quality products and designs take time and money to find the limitations.  Put your money where you know its best spent, with quality products thst will last designed by someone who desires to make the user experience the best it can be vs following in line with what everyone else does.
